Spleed, the new

sledge

Problem

The main constraint of this project was to manage collaborative engineering. Indeed, we  were in a team of  several students, involved in two projects simultaneously. Each actor was reponsable for  a specific area of expertise for  each project, but everyone was involved in all tasks. For one of theseprojects , we had to design a cheap  object, to go up and down snowy slopes easily while having fun.

The project, step by step

  • Establishment of the project :  project scheduling and organization

  • Definition of the subject: needs analysis (AFE), existing product analysis (benchmark) and life situations of the product (scenarios, storyboards, etc.)

  • Design phase: creative research (architecture, technical solutions, design), phases of validation and testing (characteristicsand uses through physical and digital models), costing and value assessments (AFI, user testing). All these steps were conducted several times and retrospections were made on the product to ultimately reach production engineering (implementation of a user guide, a manufacturing process, licensing  and costing?final product value).

Below are outlined few explanatory boards of the final product.
